Between May 2 and June 19, more than 300 representatives from government, private sector, civil society, academia, think tanks, development partners, and youth organizations came together in a series of national consultations aimed at shaping the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF) for Georgia for the period 2026–2030.

These multistakeholder consultations were designed to ensure that diverse voices across Georgian society are included in the strategic planning process. Through targeted meetings and dialogues, participants exchanged insights on critical development challenges and offered strategic recommendations to address them effectively.

Key themes discussed during the consultations included inclusive and equitable development, protection of civic space, green and digital transformation, tackling inequalities, and empowering marginalized groups such as people with disabilities, women, children, and youth.

The consultations are part of a broader effort to develop the next UNSDCF, which serves as the United Nations development system’s primary strategic framework supporting Georgia’s national development priorities and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

In addition, the UN presented key findings from the recently updated Common Country Analysis (CCA), which sparked in-depth discussions and feedback from stakeholders on the proposed strategic directions.

The finalized UNSDCF for 2026–2030 will embody the collective vision of Georgia’s people and partners, aiming to foster a peaceful, inclusive, greener, and more resilient society.
