Quality Healthcare for All: A view from Georgia and Samoa

Despite the growth of scientific knowledge and evidence, more people than ever are facing the risk of disease and other health-related emergencies. At the same time, the interconnected crises of conflict, climate change and the COVID-19 pandemic have dangerously disrupted access to quality healthcare around the world.
In the face of such challenges, UN Resident Coordinators are working with host Governments to leverage progress and strengthen health systems in the most vulnerable and under-served areas.
Dr. Igor Pokaneyvich, Senior External Affairs Officer from the World Health Organization, sits down with UN Resident Coordinator in Georgia, Dr. Sabine Machl and UN Resident Coordinator in Samoa, Themba Kalua, to discuss some of the joint solutions they are promoting on the ground.
