For Inclusive Quality Police Services for Persons with Disabilities: 10 Areas of Action
18 May 2022
A quality inclusive police service for persons with disabilities requires the development, implementation and evaluation of a set of minimum standards and guidelines, including the provision of procedures and reasonable accommodation.
For an inclusive quality response, governments, legislative bodies and other authorities must promote adequate training for those working in the administration of justice, including police personnel. As a contribution to the training process of this sector, operational guidelines have been developed in 10 areas of action.
With the support from the UN SDG Fund the South Caucasus Field Presence of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) prepared the Georgian translation of the guidelines for further use.
